Julie, 44, is a life-long resident of Illinois and currently resides in West Dundee. She is the mother of two teenagers.

She has 15 years experience in corporate and public accounting and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1995. Julie earned two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Illinois, one in Biochemistry and one in Biology.

Julie has been an accountant for several companies and is currently employed as Controller for the U.S. operations of an international manufacturing company.

Julie is a strong community activist, currently serving as a Library Trustee for the Dundee Township Library District. She serves on the budget, salary, and operations committees.

She is a co-founder, and past President and Treasurer of the Coalition for Accountability in Public Education (CAPE), 1997-1999. She helped lead the defeat of four consecutive school tax referenda in the State's eighth largest school district, forcing local accountability in the school district and saving local taxpayers tens of millions of dollars.

Julie currently serves as Treasurer for the Libertarian Party of Illinois. She also serves as Treasurer of the Fox Valley Libertarian Party, which she and fellow Libertarian Ken Prazak founded in January of 1995. Julie served as President of the Fox Valley Libertarian Party from 1995 to 1999. The Fox Valley Libertarian Party was instrumental in the defeat of a Home Rule tax referendum in East Dundee in 1995, and, as a part of CAPE, also instrumental in the defeat of four school tax referenda from 1997 to 1999.
